Back Up + Co-Doulas
I believe in the power of collective care. The back-up and co-doulas I work with are an essential part of ensuring that every family I support feels nurtured, respected, and empowered. Together, we work seamlessly to provide consistent, compassionate care, no matter the circumstances.
Why I Collaborate
Birth and postpartum journeys are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. By partnering with skilled back-up and co-doulas, I can guarantee that your support system remains strong, even if I can’t be present for any reason. This collaborative approach reflects my commitment to providing continuity of care and honoring the dynamic needs of the families I serve.
Meet My Partners in Care
The back-up and co-doulas I work with are experienced, trusted professionals who share my mission of offering personalized, evidence-based support. Each one has been carefully selected for their expertise, warmth, and dedication to supporting birthing individuals and their families. Whether stepping in during a birth, sharing insights during postpartum visits, or simply offering a reassuring presence, these doulas are an invaluable part of my practice.

Malika Frank
Meet Malika, a Certified Birth and End-of-Life Doula based in Burlington, New Jersey. Malika is passionate about empowering parents-to-be, families, and their extended support systems as they navigate the prenatal, birthing, and postpartum journey with strength, joy, and love. Her goal is to help you create an experience that you can look back on with pride and amazement.
Malika's journey into doula work began when she recognized the need for more personalized, informed support for expectant families dissatisfied with the traditional medical birthing model. She saw too many laboring women facing unnecessary interventions like inductions and c-sections, often due to a lack of understanding about the physiological and emotional changes of birth. Whether you’re a first-time parent or growing your family, Malika is dedicated to guiding you every step of the way, from baby bump to birth and beyond. When she’s not supporting clients, Malika enjoys soaking up the sun on a Caribbean island or spending time with her family, including her husband, four children, three grandchildren, and her sweet maltipoo, Chewie.

Amber Baughman
In early 2023, Amber turned her lifelong passion for birth work into action. With personal experience from three unique births and years of supporting friends and family, she felt a deep calling to help, educate, and support birthing people. Her journey began with recognizing the significant need for doulas, especially in low-income and Black and Brown communities, where access to quality care is often limited.
Driven by the alarming maternal and infant mortality rates and preventable cesarean rates in New Jersey, Amber found her purpose in becoming a doula. She trained with the Community Doulas of South Jersey and Uzazi Village, gaining invaluable knowledge to complement her lived experience. With the passing of legislation in New Jersey to make doula services more accessible through Medicaid and Medicare, Amber is now committed to empowering families to take ownership of their birthing experiences and helping to create positive, transformative outcomes for her community.
